
This is what five cubic yards of compost looks like. Yes, in our part of Hays County it is necessary to buy our own soil. The live oak trees are going to benefit in a big way here.
I’m hoping to write a few words about why the live oaks at Radiance’s entrance are called “Founders’ Trees” as soon as possible. First though: core aeration, spreading of good soil, and a small berm and swale to make sure this good stuff stays put! The trees in our area need all the help they can get right now.*
