Radiance Foundation is a 501©3 nonprofit educational organization. We support the efforts of Austin, Tx area teachers of Transcendental Meditation and occaisonally offer scholarships for various meditation courses.
Radiance Foundation owns and maintains a ~4500 square foot meditation Dome in the Radiance community, paid for from donations and from a percentage of the original sale of land within Radiance, and used for twice-daily meditation sessions and other community events. Costs of utilities and upkeep are paid in part through a portion of the fees charged by the property owners association and passed to the Foundation, in part through donations, and through various fundraising activities such as concerts and workshops.
For over a decade Radiance Foundation also ran the Austin Maharishi School for the Age of Enlightenment for kindergarten through 6th grade. The school was closed when the population of school age children in the community dropped to numbers low enough that it was no longer financially feasible.
